Oh how I love the Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver. It’s a celebration not just of art but of summer, music, west coast life!
I’m happy to be taking part this year. I’ll be doing a presentation at the Artspeaks tent, sharing the story of my travels teaching art on ships for the better part of the last 2 years.
I”ll be sharing lots of info for artists, art and travel enthusiasts alike. Lots of time for Q&A, and i’ll be doing a book signing as well. My newest book “Illustrated Vagabond’s South American Journey” will be hot off the press right about then and I’ll be excited to share it, along with my World Voyage Sketchbook and a collection of prints and original artworks.
This linocut above is from the festival last year. I took part in a plain air challenge, where you show up, are assigned a location, and have a few hours to produce, frame and show! It’s pretty exciting. I only ever made the one as I was off on an adventure right after the festival, but I’ll do a run and have them available at my presentation as well.
