Plein Air Grand Prix Competition at the Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver

I’ll be competing again this year in the Harmony Arts Plein Air Grand Prix. This is such a cool event. Artists from all over the region meet at the beach, drawn a location out of a hat and have a few hours to create and exhibit a piece of art. There’s no prepping ahead of time as you don’t know where you’ll be stationed. Most people paint but I’ll be making a linocut print on location. I did it last year and had a blast! I also ended up with an honorable mention and a nice gift certificate from their sponsor, Opus Art Supplies. So happy our schedules worked out that I can take part again this year. Come down to the Harmony Arts Festival if you’re in the hood at that time and cheer us on! It’s happening on August 9th at Ambleside Beach in West Vancouver. Here’s a link to the event if you’d like to check it out: Harmony Arts Festival Grand Prix 2025

Here’s a link to the piece I created at last year’s event:

Whether you’re participating or spectating I hope to see you there!
