I made the key block for this two block print as part of the Harmony Arts Festival Plein Air Grand Prix 2025, where artists create a work of art right there on the beach in a matter of hours and then have a show. Fun stuff, and my piece won a nice prize :-). But when I got home I was inspired to add a layer of complexity with a second linoleum block. This is the piece I created in my Youtube video “Making a 2 Block Linocut with Perfect Registration”.
The scene itself is classic West Vancouver summer, with people enjoying the beer gardens at the iconic Harmony Arts Festival.
It’s printed with archival inks on acid free 300 gsm printmaking paper. The printed image is 8×10” and the paper is 11×15”.
